Otter Class (Y6) visit to Nothe Fort
Our Year 6 pupils enjoyed an immersive day at Nothe Fort. The children dressed as evacuees and experienced what life might have been like during World War II.
During the day they had the opportunity to experience the feeling of being in an Anderson shelter during an air raid, learn more about why rationing was introduced and how restrictive it was. They also explored the ramparts at Nothe Fort to enable an understanding about its unique defensive position and role in World War II.
